Maslenitsa – Festival of Joy, Renewal and Inner Awakening
Maslenitsa, the traditional Russian festival known as Pancake Week, is a joyful celebration symbolizing the victory of warm and radiant Spring over the cold and gloomy Winter. It reminds us that just as nature moves from darkness to light, the soul too can rise above past sorrows and negativity into a new season of happiness and hope.
A special tradition of Maslenitsa is the burning of the straw figure of Winter, representing the release of old weaknesses, fears, and limitations. It inspires us to let go of the past and welcome a fresh beginning with determination and positivity.
